Envision Solar and ChargePoint to Offer Solar Powered EV Charging in US and Canada

Envision Solar International, Inc. and ChargePoint announced a new partnership agreement to promote each other’s electric vehicle charging products and services.

The agreement covers the US and Canada and will enable both companies to offer ChargePoint chargers on Envision Solar’s solar powered EV charging products.

ChargePoint’s customer base will be able to access EV charging in locations where it is too difficult or expensive to install utility grid-tied units. The EVs charged on ChargePoint and Envsion’s combined products will be truly emissions free and their owners will enjoy the fun and environmentally excellent experience of driving on sunshine.

Invented and manufactured in California, the EV ARC fits inside a parking space and does not reduce available parking in any way. It generates enough clean, solar electricity to power up to 150 miles of EV driving each day. The system’s solar electrical generation is enhanced by the patented EnvisionTrak system, which causes the array to follow the sun, generating 18 to 25% more electricity than a fixed array.

The energy is stored in the EV ARC product’s energy storage for charging day or night. The EV ARC requires no trenching, foundations or installation work, allowing it to be deployed in minutes and moved to a new location with ease. Envision Solar’s EV ARC products are manufactured in the company’s San Diego facility, by combat veterans, minorities, workers with disabilities and other highly talented and mission-driven team members.

“ChargePoint is thrilled to be working with Envision Solar to bring this new product to our customers. With the EV ARC, Envision Solar is helping ChargePoint and the rest of the industry continue the growth of electric vehicles,” said Pasquale Romano, CEO of ChargePoint. “Businesses can reduce their costs while giving their employees and customers a clean way to charge their cars.”

“The combination of the EV ARC and the ChargePoint network is very powerful,” said Desmond Wheatley, CEO of Envision Solar. “Together we are providing no hassle deployments in minutes, driving on sunshine and the largest EV charging network in the world. We see this as a great opportunity to expand both businesses.”
